Education for Vulnerale mothers and Orphans
Some of the vulnerable mothers under our care were school dropouts, but have managed to resume with education for both them and their kids, at the primary, secondary and vocational levels. This has enhanced their way of life by teaching them survival skills like tailoring, hair dressing baking among others, which generates them income.
Today VUMA works with the rural vulnerable mothers and some few urban single mothers in northern and Eastern part of Uganda to address their real needs and build local partnerships with institutions/community in order to touch the livelihood of mothers and their children focus adolescent girls and teen mothers psycho-social support in agriculture , food security, health access and utilization. Particular emphasis is put on empowering vulnerable mothers in the capacity of one’s ability in order to eradicate poverty.
